2019 UACOA Conference – St. George Utah

Dear Animal Control Officers and Shelter Workers:
The 2019 Annual Conference will be held March 20th, 21st, 22nd at the ABBY INN, St. George Utah, The Conference is Wednesday through Friday and is a full three days. The cost of the Conference is $250.00 which includes tuition for the conference, your U.A.C.O.A membership, and a banquet held on March 21st. If you fail to pre-register and pay at the door the tuition is $300.00. The deadline for tuition is February 15th. If you do not pay tuition by this date you will not be able to attend the banquet as they need the exact head count at that time. We will be having the Holiday Buffet same as last year.
With the cost of speakers and conference items, if you cancel your tuition after February 1st, 2019 there will be a 25% cancellation fee. If you cancel After March 5th, there will be no refund.
We are offering 3, $100.00 vouchers to take off the $250.00 tuition cost; you must apply for them by contacting Justin or Pam in writing NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 15, 2019 AND YOU MUST NOT HAVE BEEN AWARDED THE VOUCHER IN THE PAST 2 YEARS.
THE SHELTER CLASS WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY MARCH 19th, from 7 pm TO 10 pm, THE COST FOR THE SHELTER CLASS IS $90.00, we encourage those who attend the shelter class to sign up for the regular conference. We will be having different name tags for those who attend the shelter class and those who have paid for the whole conference.
We are really excited about the classes that are being taught this year. The board has put a lot of thought and work into arranging speakers and instructors to take time out of their busy schedules to come and speak with us.
The earlier you confirm you are attending the conference, the better prepared we can be for each of you. We ask that you make your hotel reservations as soon as possible to ensure you get the type of room you want. Abby Inn has asked that the rooms be booked by February 20th, 2019. The cost per room this year is $85.00 + tax per night for single person and $90.00 + tax per night if there are 2 people in room this includes spouses… The phone is number 1-435-652-1234. Let them know that you are with the Utah Animal Control Officers Association for this rate. (If you do not reserve your room by February, 2019 you will not get the rate of $85.00 per night)+ tax
And yes, the silent auction is back but with some stipulations. If you bring one item or 10, you only receive one ticket to be put in the drawing.
If you bring a silent auction item(s), the only time you will be able to get a ticket is during registration. No items will be accepted afterwards. We are going to ask that if you enter into the silent auction that the minimum cost of your item be $5.00. And just a friendly reminder, don’t bid with someone else’s name, okay?
Remember to nominate a shelter worker or volunteer for the Civilian employee/volunteer of the year award. Form is included in this information.
